In the strings blanks are for the rod builder who wants to start at the very beginning of constructing a rod. This is a great way to learn about bamboo rod building.

Seriously a great option for your first rod!

The processes of building an "in the strings" blank to finish out are:

• Remove the binding strings
• Sand the bamboo to perfection
• Cut the rod to length (The blanks will have measurement marks to aid in placement.)
• Straighten the rod
• Fit, lap and glue ferrules

A 2 piece 1 tip in the strings blank: $260

A 2 piece 2 tip in the strings blank: $305

Sanded blanks are for the rod builder ready for the next stage in rod building.  It's one step closer to your completed rod.

Stages of construction for sanded blanks:

• Cut the rod to length (The blanks will have measurement marks to aid in placement.)

Ready to wrap blanks are great because a lot of the labor has been done for you. You get to sit back and enjoy wrapping a finely crafted rod.   Ready to wraps rods come either varnished in marine grade spar or bare.  The finish is your choice.
